Cuban born Javier Gonzalez Quintana The latest ART21 headliner is , an acclaimed 24-year-old classical pianist.  He will give a concert on a 9-foot Steinway grand piano, Friday, November 15th at ART21 Gallery and Framing, 539 Alma St, Palo Alto.
Sponsoring him is Bill Armstrong, a longtime Palo Alto musician and teacher, and Mary Morgan Spock of Atherton, the widow of the late Dr. Benjamin Spock, renowned pediatrician and author of baby-rearing books.

Cuban born Javier Gonzalez Quintana The latest ART21 headliner is , an acclaimed 24-year-old classical pianist.  He will give a concert on a 9-foot Steinway grand piano, Friday, November 15th at ART21 Gallery and Framing, 539 Alma St, Palo Alto.

Armstrong calls his playing "astounding," and others agree.

Erna Gulabyan, a music teacher and faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, elates, "He is very gifted, and has wonderful potential because he has the music inside him, a very important quality. Thousands of students can play as well as he as far as technique, but there is something special in the way he feels the music."

Leaving Cuba just last winter, he is currently studying as a first year, at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
